20 Weeks

I can't believe that I am actually writing this! I am 20 weeks pregnant and halfway there. I am soooo excited to meet our little guy. Oh and that's right GUY! He is a HE! Yea! Matt is super excited and is calling him his "Man Child".

A Couple of fun facts with this pregnancy:

I started to feel like I was pregnant, and not just fat at around 16 weeks.

I felt him kick for the first time, and knew it was him kicking on Feb 12th during my symphony concert. I had just finished my solo and my heart was going crazy fast and hard and he gave me a big, WHOP telling me to calm down, mommy, or good job mommy! Either way it was special and I am so excited that it happened. Since then, I have felt him almost everyday because I know where to feel it now. I love it.

Last Friday night on our date I felt the first somersault, and then again right after that. It was really fun to feel him playing inside.

Today March 2nd, we found out for sure that he was a HE and we have the pix to prove it.

I have been feeling great, just the normal stuff associated with pregnancy have been making me take it more easy, like tired all the time, but I really do, do a lot of things everyday. Other than that, no morning sickness and feeling great now! Alright, here are the pix you are all waiting for.

Moving Right Along

I really am trying to be better at updating this and keeping everyone in the loop on things going on. Not too much has changed. We find out if the baby is in fact a boy or a girl on the 2nd of March, so that will be a big post. We have, however, finished cleaning the baby's room. We also have assembled the bookshelf that will sore the diapers and wipes for the next few months. We also just set up the crib. It is so much bigger than I thought that it would have been. But it is so nice and matches the bookshelf really well! It is now starting to make things set in that it is actually happening. As my belly is getting bigger, and I think that I felt the baby for the first time last week, this is really happening! It is such an exciting and weird feeling knowing that in 5 months my life is going to be totally different and we will have a new little miracle in this world.

Second Trimester

So I am in my 12th or 13th week now. It is kind of unknown at this point because of an ultrasound I had done on the 7th of Jan, it put the size of the baby as being in the 12th week, which bumped my due date up a week. So I am under the impression of the new ultrasound, hence if you watched my tickers at all, they jumped one day by a week So my new due date is the 20th-26th as we are calling it in our house. Only cause we know the exact date that the baby was "created" due to the procedures that we did.

Anyhew. I am glad that the first trimester and all the worries that come along with it are finally behind me. I have been worried about "something" happening, but I try everyday to be excited about actually being pregnant. I didn't have ANY morning sickness at all, seriously! I had maybe 2 days that I felt sick, but I think I brought that on my own from lack of eating or just worried. I am done with my progesterone pills now and the baby is very happy and healthy.

No I haven't felt the baby yet, however, I do try to everyday, but I just don't know what I am looking for. I do know that it is moving and kicking me cause at the ultrasound on the 7th I totally saw it judo chop kick me! It was actually really funny to see. Tomorrow I am doing the NT ultrasound scan to look for down syndrome, I already know that the baby is fine however it is, I just want to see it again, and they might be able to tell us if it is a boy or girl! YEA! We shall see. Well I also wanted to post the first little pix of our baby plus my first belly shot. Enjoy!

~12 Weeks~

Merry Christmas 2010

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year. Matt and I kept busy by flying all of the country and visiting lots of family and friends.

We flew out to Salt Lake City on the 21st and I got to see my best friend Elizabeth whom I have not see in probably 2 years, now, and we only see each other for a couple of hours and that is all. She took us to an amazing Mexican restaurant called the Red Iguana which was showcased on Matt's fav show, Diners Dive-ins and Dives. It was our first Mexican meal in 9 months for me and a year for Matt. We spent the next day doing wedding prep stuff. Matt's little sis got married this Christmas Season, over in the Salt Lake Temple on the 23rd. I made her wedding bouquet, which I have never done anything like that before in my life. Along with another Mex meal after the wedding and before the reception.

Christmas Eve we flew down to Phoenix and had again, another amazing mexican meal at TIA ROSA'S, my fav place. Christmas Eve was spent with my family and Christmas day was split between my fam and Matt's fam. My parents gave me a cute maternity shirt that says "Future Sundevil" with an arrow pointing downwards. Also a cute little shirt for the baby that Matt Loves, it says "Army Brat, Commando of the Playground." He just kept looking at it and giggling. On the 26th we flew back home, in a snow storm. It was a quick but very enjoyable week. At the wedding Matt got to see some relatives that he hadn't seen in 10 years. And well, the Mex food was seriously what we were so excited for as we are deprived of real Mex food over here.

We are now home from everything, and I am enjoying my week off from teaching. I spent 6 hours today, cleaning my new church building for Sundays first meeting there. And I am 10 weeks preggers and trying to enjoy it as much as possible. I have not had any morning sickness, well maybe just 2 times, but just nausea for a brief little bit. I know I need to exercise a little more, but well next week is after the holidays, right. That's all here I will keep you posted. Only 6-8 more weeks and we find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Let the betting begin on which you think it is. Matt thinks it is a BOY and I think it is a GIRL. My dad thinks it is a Girl. My mom wants a Girl but thinks it is a Boy. Matt's mom wants a Girl and Gary just doesn't care. So tell us which team you are Team Matt, for a Boy or Team Becky, for a Girl.

Happy Thanksgiving 2010

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

There are many things in my life that I am very thankful for this year, and more so than other years. I am so happy to be happily married to a wonderful husband. I love Matt so much and am so thankful that we are entering a new stage of our marriage together with children.

I am so thankful for the military protecting our safety overseas and for the sacrifice that they make and am so thankful for the family members that support their loved ones. I am so thankful for the many troops that make it home safe and sound.

I am thankful for the wonderful opportunity to be able to work in a job that I love and work out of my home. I am so thankful for each of my students and the hard work and dedication they have towards taking piano and horn lessons.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve the sisters in my branch and help to uplift them in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I am so thankful for many other things in my life, such as my family, but will end it here as I could go on, and on, and on.

May we each have a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving this day and remember what we are each truly thankful for in our lives.

Seriously...It's True!

I AM PREGNANT!!!

8 years, 3 different fertility clinics, and 54 shots in my belly, and I am finally pregnant. I told my parents and my parents told EVERYONE and the news kind of just exploded from there, so now everyone knows and I am posting this.

Stats:

I am 4 weeks along.

I am due July 24, 2011

I am feeling fine just a little heartburn, but I am fine.

Matt is excited too!

I truly feel blessed for the wonderful opportunity to be able to be a mother soon! Thank you everyone for all of your kind words and thoughts. I am so thankful for everything that you have done for me.

5k- 16 days away

I am currently training for my first 5k. Well, I guess it is not really "training" because it is just running 3 miles but still I have to work and earn it. I am going to run in the Fredericksburg Turkey Trot 5k on Thanksgiving morning. So only 16 more days to go until my first race. My personal goals are:

To run the race in under 40 minutes

To run the entire race, without walking or pausing or passing out.

To not get distracted by the other runners!

Anyways, well this week my goal is to run a 5k everyday to force my body to get used to what I am doing to it. I am 2 days in to this and I am doing it. Yesterday I had a rough time running the whole time, I am running on the hill setting on the treadmill to help me with hills, but today, I did it and I ran my 5k in 38 minutes. Anyhew I just wanted to keep you updated and will continue to do so and I can't wait to show you pictures of the actual event.
