Well, just got back from church and everyone said that I did great and really enjoyed the playing. But by my standards, a perfectionist, I did horrible. Oh well. Better luck next week I guess. I am still "filling in"
Also I got the best compliment I could get. So we had our branch conference today so the stake leaders where there. I was waiting to go up the isle before church began and a lady came up to me and introduced herself to me as part of the Young Women's Stake Presidency and asked, "Are you a new young women to this branch?" I got this huge grin on my face and said, " No, I am not and I am 26 years old." She said, "Oh, really? You look like you are 17-18 years old." I thanked her for making my day and we both just laughed. Well I am 26 and I look 17 so when I am in my 40's I will look like I am in my 30's. That is going to be great.

Freakin' Out A Little
So today I am filling in for the branch pianist until they call a new one, which I am thinking will be me anyways, but last Monday the choristor called me and, first of all sprung it on me that I was filling in without anyone even asking me to fill in, but she wanted to change all the songs. I didn't know the first set of songs in the first place, but now that she knows someone can actually play the piano is playing in sacrament she decided to pick 4 of the most difficult songs in the whole hymn book. I have been practicing all week and I am still shakey on 2 of the 4 and I'm freakin out a little as I have to play them infront of everyone, including some of my studens and their families in less than an hour. So if you read this before I go to chuch in an hour please say a prayer for me as I need a little divine intervention to get through all the songs. Thank you! I'll let you know how it goes.

My Handy Man, Man
I have some good news everyone. Matt was a handy man yesterday for me. It was a first for us though. I have been more handy then him in the past. Well our vanity light in our master bath was falling off the wall and I was scared to touch it, cause it might fall and break our mirror or the marble countertops. Well he came home and actually took off the light and didn't get electrocuted by the wires. Anyways we found out that the little block of wood that the light was hanging on wasn't completly secured to the 2x4 and was leaning forward. Well Matt is going to try to figure out how to fix it or I am going to call President Byrd to fix it, cause I doubt that it is a warranty issue. Anyhew. here is a pix.
Here is a top pix of the wood piece, not "flush" with the other wood.
Our pretty light fixture was too heavy and almost fell off the wall

It's About Time
It is about time that I have finally figured out how to change my background. I love daisies so much. For people who don't know my car is a red and white Mini Cooper and her name is Red Daisy.
Things are going well here for us. Matt is leaving in 2 weeks for AZ for 3 months. It is really not that long for him to be gone. He is going to be driving cross country for the 4th time since last June when we drove out here for the first time. Hopefully he won't get sent home early like he did last September. Somehow we did manage to get a full day together before he leaves. We are spending Saturday March 2nd together going to the DC Temple together for the first time since we moved out here.
As for me I am currently planning my studio's first recital by picking the music and all the little details that I had no idea about. I have never picked music for someone else only for myself or someone picked the music for me. I have had a difficult time choosing the music as they did not offer a class in college called "how to choose recital music for all 20 of your students for their first recital ever". Anyways I think I am doing ok, I have at least figured out the order they will be in when they play.
That's about all here folks. Hope all is well with you and your fam!

Freezing Rain?!?
Today the all knowing weatherman said that our area was going to get a mixture of ice and rain. Well it is actually the coolest looking thing out here, everything has an icecycle over it and it looks pretty. All of the trees have the ice all over them, but I saw some tree branches fall already. Our mailbox is iced shut. I know it sounds crazy but I like it and, we have a garage for a good reason. Before we moved out here my uncle John was telling us about ice storms and how bad they can be if you have the car out in the elements. Anyhew here are some pix from our porch.
Also I have finally gotten 20 students. I have started picking recital music for all my kids and I am so excited. They are all doing so well.
