New York Baby! See everyone in a week from now!!!!

2 Years and Counting!

Happy Anniversary to us. 2 Years ago Matt and I bought our new home! I can't believe that it has already been two years. It has gone by so quickly. Things that have happened in the past 2 years:

~Moved to VA and bought a house.

~Matt started a new job.

~I started teaching piano and getting 10 students my first month.

~I bought my new piano.

~Have had 2 piano recitals for my studio and now have 26 students with a waiting list.

~Went on our second Disney Cruise.

~Visited more historical places than I can think of.

~Matt went and came back safely from Overseas.

~Landscaped our backyard and have the best front yard/grass on the block, sorry everyone else.

~Got shutters for the house and our AC bill has gone down nearly $20 a month.

~Mom got sick but is better now.

~Matt, next Thursday, will complete his Warrant Office training and will then be promoted to a W2.

~Will make our first trip to NYC next week.

There are so many things that I am so grateful for that have happened with us. Matt and I have so many blessings.

~March '07~

~June 18 '07, Closing Day. Look at our grass how bad it was, and how tiny my burning bushes were. They are huge now!~

~June 18, '09 And I am the one who has been doing all the lawn care and stuff, but I will gladly give it back to Matt when he gets home.~

~My neighborhood has grown so much since we move in. And it is still growing with only about 1/4 of the house completed.~

My visitor

My beautiful niece, Caitlyn, came to visit me for 2 and a half weeks. She already left but here are some pix of our time together.

I didn't take time off while she was here. She patiently watched me teach my piano lessons and had a lesson her self and even went to my piano lesson. She also helped me around the house and the yard and I am very thankful. She also helped me set up Matt's graduation/Husband's Day gift. I had a blast playing monopoly with her and her rightfully kicking my butt only 10% of the games we played. Sorry Cati.

Anyhew. The day after she got here we went to Charlottesville and saw Night at the Museum 2. The next Saturday we went to Monticello. The next Thursday we went to DC and walked our feet off and went everywhere. The next Saturday was a church activity and then we went and walked around Short pump mall and picked up Matt's gifts. The next Thursday we along with 3 of her new friends here went to Kings Dominion and loved it. There was barely anyone there and we actually got to stay on some of the rides cause no one was in the lines. It was a ton of fun. I don't have any pix from Kings but I did everything and Cati watched when she didn't go on some of the rides. It was a blast. Anyhew here are the pix now. And only a week from Thursday Matt comes home

Let The Count Down Begin...

I only have one month from today and Matt comes home for good, well for a good long while! I am ready for this separation thingy to be over and done with. I can't wait for him to get back and to mow the lawn, and help me de-weed my back hill. (We couldn't get grass to grow on the blasted thing and now I have more than enough grass trying to grow, go figure.) I can't wait to have someone to cook for again, not that I cook all that much anyhew but it will be nice to cook for someone other than me. All I want is for this next 31 days to fly by and then it be out time to be in NYC and having fun in the Big Apple! Hurry Home Matt!

Home Made Fresh Yummo!

I lOVE Strawberries!!!! They are so good. Well I'm not talking about Ms. Strawberry Shortcake but my own berries that I grew all on my own. I have finally started getting large amounts of ripe berries. Did you know that when you fresh pick them and eat them they practically melt in your mouth like chocolate from the heat of the sun. I had no idea but they all taste amazing. I won't be able to make a pie cause I am eating them off the vine too many times during the day. They are so wonderful. So here are a few pix of my strawberries. Oh and yes don't forget to wash them after you buy them from the store, sometimes I forget, but mine had dirt all over them and you never know if the people wash them well enough.

Grow Baby Grow!

So our backyard is done, now I am just waiting for my little seedlings to grow nice and tall and thick to have a great backyard. But here are some pix as promised! Our river rock is really cool. Right now it has this like white powder stuff all over it but when it gets wet it is a ton of different colors like dark red blues and grey. I love it. Today it rained lightly and providing plenty of water for the grass seeds and my rocks looked awesome! YEA IT IS DONE!!!
