Sneak Peak!!! Shhhhhh!

Ok eveyone. I talked to Matt and there is no way that he has access to a computer at this point, so I am going to post some pix of my newly re-done room including my new plantation shutters. Here you go. You get to see this before Matt, you should feel very honored! Also I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to the lovely ladies that helped me paint my bedroom, so thank you for helping me and doing such a beautiful job!

~This is so funny, I moved Archer's cage to the other room we were going to sleep in and he kept sitting and laying in the place where his cage usually went. You can see the carpet indentations under him. It was very cute!~

It's Almost Time

Well I will be leaving Arizona early, early Sunday morning to go back home. I can't believe that it has already been 2 weeks since I have been here. Things are going well here and mom is getting much better. I am really impressed with how well she takes pain, cause as most of you know I am a WIMP with pain and she has just handled this whole thing like it was nothing. I kept busy with helping around the house and keeping it picked up. Also Kat and I did a TON of yard work to the front of the house. We trimmed bushes and pulled every last stinkin weed in the front yard. We also cleared out all of the dead bushes or ground coverings that were a major fire hazard. Their front yard looks unrecognizable now.

I also found out that Matt is coming home earlier than I originally thought, a whole 2 days earlier. He will be home March 30th. YAY!!!! I have a ton of things to do before he gets home including getting my shutters installed and a big surprise for Matt. Most of you know what the surprise is but Matt checks this blogspot so I can't list what it is until after he gets home. Anyhew I am so happy that I get almost a whole week with him being home, even though I still have to teach that week but at least we could stay up all night and talk. I AM SO HAPPY HE IS ALMOST HOME AND SAFE AND SOUND ON AMERICAN SOIL!!!!

Look At What I Am Missing...

Snow?!? Go figure, when I leave that we get blasted with the biggest snow storm to hit our area in a while. We went from only 2 inches of snow to 4.86 inches. My neighbors are saying that our area got about 7-10 inches last night but it just looks like beautiful white stuff to me. Well I think I will go back outside in the hot blistering heat of 90 degrees here in AZ and enjoy the heat while I am in town. Good luck everyone back East!!!

Finished

I am so excited. I finished my first painting project. I finished it last night (Sat night/Sun morning) at 1am. I just finished putting the room together tonight and I think I will be able to sleep in my own bed tonight for the first time in 3 days. Last night there was a lot of frustration. I was praying that I didn't mess up the walls since I really had no idea what I was doing and they actually turned out alright. good thing cause I barely have anymore paint left. Anyhew I have a few touch ups to do that will be done sometime, but here are some pix of the finished product with everything in place. The color is called Teal Zeal by Behr. By the way I didn't clean the mirror and I promise that there are no roller marks, I done good. :) Oh and soon, I will have my beautiful white shutters in place of the curtains! I can't wait for those to come in and be installed.

While the Husband is Away, The Wife Will...

PAINT!!!

I have finally started painting my house and boy am I tired just after priming. And this is only the master bath by the way which is a small master bath at that. I started today with taping off the room at around 2pm and finally at 8:30 I finally finished, again with only the primer. Home Depot also tinted the primer for me a few shades lighter than my final color and right now the room looks like a blue green robin egg color. Not Caribbean water color at all. But It will get there by Sat. Hopefully. Here are some of the started pix. The final color will be a teal/jade green and we have chocolate towels and floor mats. I can't wait till it is done.

Oh and Matt does know that I am doing this he might not like me to ruin a perfectly brand new house with a can of paint but he does support me as I am the one doing all of the manual labor on this, "Little Project."

I've Done It!!!

I have actually filled my Piano Studio to my max goal number. I officially have 25 students taking lessons every week!!! GO ME!! I set this number originally saying that if I every made it to 25 that I would be so happy and only a year and a half after I started teaching here I have reached my goal. I tried a few months ago to say I "technically" had 25 even though I knew I lost 2 of them but now I officially have 25 students and another teacher in the neighboring town is going to be referring some students to me cause she can't teach anymore so I will start my waiting list. I am so happy I love teaching!

Some more good news for today, we had our first snow of the winter season. It is almost February and we just had our first little bit of snow, but now it is all starting to freeze over so it was a small snow storm and ice. I love snow cause I don't drive in it and it is pretty to look at.

Also, my mom is finally safe and sound in her own bed and out of the hospital! After 3 weeks in the hospital she is finally out and hopefully for a good long while. I will be coming back to AZ for a couple of weeks at the end of February to spend some time with the Fam, since I couldn't help out when she was in the hospital. It will be some much deserved family time.

And Matt is almost at his "half way point" to coming home for a few days and then leaving for AZ for training, but at least he will be out of harms way. A ton of good news to round out this blog. Hope everyone is doing well!

IT'S FREEZING!!!

It is sooooo cold outside. Per weather.com it is currently 6 degrees outside, and cold inside too. But I am trying to keep the eletric bill down so that is why it is cold inside. Anyhew it is very cold outside. I don't think I have ever felt weather this cold before. Anyhew. Everyone is doing well. There have been a couple of scares in the family with my mom and then with an alarm system scare last night but everything is better. Matt is staying busy and safe too. That's all on the homefront.

Oh and this is my 100th post.
